After graduating high school and then spending a year at college and deciding that college and I did not agree, I followed the path of my father into the construction field. Growing up, I spent summers working with my father and crew on various projects in the area. In the 70's and early 80's I worked as a carpenter for area companies and then for myself, which led me into the sub-contracting field working for larger residential builders locally and in the Albany, NY area doing framing, siding and also interior trim.

In the early 90's I worked with a homeowner needing help in building a log home, and this led me into another field in which I have completed 27 log home projects to date, from completed shells in the $20,000 to $30,000 range to a $1.3 million lakefront home. I have been mixing log and stick built projects for several years. My first stick frame, built to sell home was finished in 1988. To date, stick built projects have ranged from $25,000 additions to house framing to completed shells to $400,000 turnkey homes.

In my efforts to build a strong and profitable company, the challenges have been many and the obstacles great, but my goals remain the same: to be flexible, hard working, honest and reliable, to keep in mind the importance of having a great crew and competent reliable professional sub-contractors, and to never forget the importance of striving to deliver a better final product.
